Website revamp for the irrigation community
The Irrigation Community has a long history, dating back to the granting of its concession in 1875 for the use of water from the River Guadalentín. It was established as an Irrigation Community in 1936 and has undergone various transformations and modernisations of its irrigation system to reach its current state, with an irrigable area of 8,354 hectares in the municipalities of Pozo Alcón, Hinojares (Jaén) and Cuevas del Campo (Granada).
The general community is divided into two groups, each with complete autonomy:
- The Cuevas del Campo Irrigation Association in Granada, with 3,491.58 hectares of irrigated land and 1,100 members.
- The Pozo Alcón and Hinojares Irrigation Association, with 4,861.69 hectares of irrigated land and 1,500 members.
Backend platform management connected to WordPress
The project for the Pozo Alcón Irrigation Community involves the development of a platform to enable users to manage their irrigation, as well as the design of a corporate website and a mobile app.
By accessing a private area via the website or the app, users can view their irrigation index and related bills, enabling them to keep better track of everything relating to their plot.
As for the website, it is a simple site containing information about the community, a news section, useful links, contact details and a members-only area for residents
